Maddie has now officially mastered rolling both ways! She rolled back to front on July 4 and then today, after teetering on her side for a few weeks, she finally got enough umph! to propel herself onto her stomach.

She's also begun using her knees and feet to push herself across the floor. Unfortunately, she missed the memo on picking her head up first.

My poor parents "invited" Ethan to spend the night on Wednesday (and, by "invited" I mean caving to Ethan who called them every day asking if he could come over).

Ethan gets spoiled rotten as usual (lunch out, sugar, movie, sugar and popcorn, endless Wii playing, ice cream, sugar, basketball, sugar...and then probably more sugar...you get the point).

So, I call Thursday morning to find out when we should pick him up and he wants to spend another night which my mom OKs. However, we get a call several hours later asking for a refund because their guest requires a 24-hour entertain me pass.

Sorry, Mama Sue, no refunds, returns or exchanges :) See ya Friday...

I have realized that I do not like to start in the middle--I much prefer to start at the beginning or at the end, whichever way you like to look at things. So, instead of starting in the middle, I put it off. Choosing to do nothing rather than something half way. But, I am getting harassed by my husband to suck it up and start anyway. So, after much prompting, I am combining all the kids' blogs into one here and starting Maddie's blog at month three. Ughh. It's torture. We'll just pretend this conversation never happened and hopefully in a few months, it will be irrelevant anyway because all the kids' stuff will be uploaded and no one will know the difference!

Though it will take me some time to upload Ethan and Rachel's blogs. Believe it or not, Ethan's first few years are handwritten. Can you believe that? (That's something we call ink and paper for those of you born after 1990).

So, we'll leave it at that. My introduction to what will prove, I'm sure, to be a ballad of humor, whether intentional or not. I bring you the Adventures of Ethan, Rachel and Madeline.
