So, I, like every other mother in America wonders if our kids are watching too much TV and what the long-term effects will be on their little psyches. Let me share with you the effects I have seen thus far:
Yesterday at the breakfast table Ethan explained to Rachel that the chance of her "big idea" for the day (Sid the Science Kid, PBS) being a success was "dutious". After a brief clarification on what he meant, it turns out the correct word was "dubious"--a vocabulary word he learned on "The Electric Company". I had to explain in real words what dubious meant to Rachel who then responded by stomping her foot and saying very sternly, "Ethan T. Corbin, you stop that right now" (3-2-1 Penguins).
I live in the TV world. I guess it's not so bad ;)
